VILLA 7, BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO, MOZAMBIQUE
Designed with the freshness of the island in mind — the sea breeze, the light, the salt air.
The palette is contemporary and alive: turquoise, fresh greens, crisp natural materials. Black and white striped cushions. Raw light wood bar stools. Crisp linen against the warmth of wooden floors and the organic texture of the thatch above. Large paddle fans move the air on the hottest days, extending the island breeze into every corner.
The details carry it. An old mokoro, a hollowed out tree, repurposed as a bench for outdoor dining. Old fishing baskets designed by the architects to house lighting above the dining table outside. Nautical antique rudders on the walls. Zanzibarian wardrobes used as beautiful open storage to the loft, which looks down over the open plan dining, lounge and kitchen below.
An interior that belongs completely to its island, its ocean and its life.
